2-day ‘Design for Additive Manufacturing’ Workshop for Experienced CAD users.

If, you are a CAD designer or manage a team of CAD designers, it is becoming a critical skill, to know how to design for Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing).

Traditional manufacturing workflows are being redesigned, by manufacturers worldwide, to include Additive Manufacturing. Their gains are your loss if you don’t stay ahead of the game.

With that in mind, we’ve put together a 2 day hands-on workshop – ‘Designing for Additive Manufacturing’.

In this workshop we’ll take you through the following steps:

Start with some general examples of work we have done recently.

Discuss various Additive Manufacturing design problems and solutions.

Discuss suitability of various 3D printing technologies and materials, with a focus on constraints and considerations around the different technologies (this is a critical area to understand).

Take you through the design of a part, with a view to printing your part (we’ll send it to you after the workshop).

Sign up for the workshop – limited to 10 seats

The next DfAM will be held on the 8th and 9th of March 2018 at the Altair offices in Stellenbosch, Cape Town.
